Ashley Khalil and Mary Fung-A-Fat bagged silver in the women's doubles squash final at the Central American and Caribbean Games on Wednesday, falling to Colombia's Laura and Paula Tovar in straight sets.
The Guyanese pair lost 11-1, 11-6 in the final, held in the Dominican Republic.
The Guyanese seemed a bit off in the opening but found somewhat of a groove in their second set, though they could not do enough to push the final to a third set.
Earlier in the day, the pair got past Tabita Gaitan and Darlyn Sandoval of Guatemala to reach the gold medal match.
Khalil and Fung-A-Fat will also compete in the teams category, serving off on August 6 against Mexico at 6:30pm.
